Near the Fontaine du Mont

Our guest house near Angers is an excellent base for discovering the region. Around your accommodation, you will find many activities, to satisfy all desires. Many walking trails and hiking are available to you, including the “Loire à Vélo”, a cycle route that runs along the river. Also visit the Cointreau distillery, in Saint-Barthélemy d'Anjou, the slate museum of Trélazé, the Bioparc of Doué-la-Fontaine, or Terra Botanica, theme park in Angers.

The 5 castles circuit

Immerse yourself in the history and cultural heritage of the region! Departing from your guest room or gîte in Mûrs-Erigné, you can visit 5 emblematic castles of the Angevin territory: the Château d'Angers (20 minutes from your accommodation), the Château de Brissac (12 minutes), the Château de Montgeoffroy (30 minutes), the Château de Serrant (25 minutes), and the Château de Plessis-Bourré (30 minutes).

Puy-du-fou

By sleeping in one of our guest rooms or in our gîte, you will find yourself 45 minutes from Puy-du-Fou. The opportunity to discover one of the best theme parks in France, and in Europe! Its shows, each more impressive than the last, will amaze you. Its historical atmosphere makes it a unique park, which is worth the detour, and which will delight young and old alike! To attend the Cinescénie, a sound and light show which takes place in the evening during the summer season, we advise you to book!

The city of Angers is waiting for you. Whether you prefer historical visits or fun walks, you will definitely find something to satisfy your desires. Don’t miss the Château d’Angers, the Saint-Maurice Cathedral, the Terra Botanica Park, etc. The city center of the Angevin city will allow you to enjoy the atmosphere and the kindness of its inhabitants. The estate on which La Fontaine du Mont is located is surrounded by vineyards and nature. Meet at the Domaine de la Bourrelières, Gaec Jolly Frères , in Mûrs-Erigné, where a visit and tasting can be offered to you. Also discover the Domaine Haute Perche , in Saint Melaine sur Aubance, and taste their “frank and straightforward, organic and biodynamic, subtle and elegant, unique and recognized” wines.

After a day discovering the region, or strolling among the plant species of the Fontaine du Mont estate, choose a nearby restaurant to spend a warm and friendly moment. Among those that we can recommend: Le Roso , in Mûrs-Erigné, le Murmure, also in Mûrs-Erigné, and le Bosquet, a gourmet restaurant located in the town of “Ponts-de-Cé”.
